Mynyel
It is on the floor and covers two different floorings where they meet or two kinds of carpets or whatever... I can't remember what it is called!
anotherbrother
Generally in flooring it's called a transition, but it could also be a threshold. (sp?)

I can't remember what it is called! In my house, that would be dirty laundry, or shoes...depending on what two rooms! I think it's called T-Molding (short for transition molding). HTH!

happypamama
I believe it can also be called a carpet reducer, if it's between carpet and hard floor.

I've only heard 'saddle' for a horse or bike seat, lol. Must be a regional thing. A transom is above a door/window, not under it.
