Jeannie in NJ Posted July 12, 2012 Share Posted July 12, 2012 When I lived in Los Angeles from 1975-1980 there were a couple of movie theatres that would have for ex. 4 nights of Bogart films, then 4 nights of Bette Davis, followed by Katherine Hepburn and then maybe a few nights of Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers movies and then Gene Kelly musicals. We went all the time. THe audience would applaud after the musical numbers, it was great THere was also a silent movie theatre, run by an old lady who sold candy in a box for concessions and the seats were old and hard, the theatre was old..
