Sue G in PA
I bought the Presidential Elections Lapbook from KBC (50% off sale until July 5 at midnight!) and am excited to start it. I wondered if anyone could recommened some good books to accompany this study? Non-fiction or fiction is fine...just something we can read besides what is included in the lapbook. Thanks. I have 2 so far: Duck for President If I Were President Any others in the way of non-fiction for an elem. or middle school level? Thanks! 2cents
We're doing that lapbook too and we have: How the US Government Works and Presidental Elections. Both are by Syl Sobel. We're also using The Everything American Government Book by Nick Ragone.

We will work on it a little every day till complete.... however long that is.... I'm not sure... but it looks promising. Michelle T
What is KBC? They sell lapbook packages, similar to Hands of a Child. Michelle T
Academy of Jedi Arts
For elementary, I highly recommend Woodrow For President, Woodrow the White House Mouse, and the other titles in the series.

CoffeeBean
I second Voice of the People by Betsy Maestro - looks like a picutre book but full of info, especially charts at the back. I used it with my upper elementary kids. CoffeeBean
