DawnM
http://www.tvguide.com/News/Kathryn-Joosten-Dies-1048430.aspx Many of you probably don't know her. She typically played the sarcastic, crabby old lady in films and TV shows. She was also in commercials. I met her several times as she lived next door to a friend in LA and came to our school to talk to our students a couple of times. In real life she was a sweetheart and very warm and friendly, grandma type. Just posting in her honor.

DawnM
Was that Desperate Housewives? Dawn Ironic that her character passed on the show a couple weeks ago, then she passes today. :(
OnTheBrink
Yes, but I read an article somewhere a while back that she knew she was dying during that last season. I wondered if it was weird for her to act her dying scene, knowing the whole time she was really terminal.
Big Buckin' Longhorn
Ironic that her character passed on the show a couple weeks ago, then she passes today. :( I know. I said the exact same thing when I heard about it. Poor thing.

nd293
I have never even seen The West Wing I don't think. I need to see if it is on Netflix. Oh! You do! I am currently re-watching the series, and have decided it's the perfect show for homeschoolers - where else will you find grammar and poetry references in mainstream TV? One of my recent favourites: Ainsley: I'd like to do well on this, my first assignment. Any advice you could give me that might point me the way of success would be, by me, appreciated.Lionel: Well, not speaking in iambic pentameter might be a step in the right direction. Kathryn Joosten was played a great role in the series.
