jeninok
I would let my 8 year old watch it, there was no nudity or overt sexual tones and the violence and action weren't overly gorey or upsetting. It is kind of long though!! There might have been some mild cussing, but nothing that made me squirm with my 10 yr old sktttimg next to me. Chris in VA
It's for violence (cartoony and guns and stuff) and a little language. No f bombs, but I think there's some rudeness. You can look at Focus on The Family's movie website and it'll give you every little objectional thing.
mommybee
I took my 8yr old with his older brothers. It is long but my son did ok with the time. I am fine with super hero violence but: Spoiler** There is one scene where a man has a blade go right through him. You see him from the front and the blade comes from the back through his front. I would have preferred a heads up on that scene but otherwise the regular super hero violence is fine with us. It just seemed more real, less super heroish... if that makes sense. The scene is towards the end and it's Agent Colson that dies.
Desert Rat
My 9yo watched it. It's entirely for fantasy violence, I think. If he's seen any of the other Marvel movies, he'll be fine. Make sure to stay til the VERY END!
catz
I just took my 7 and 11 year old. I was a little worried about the 7 year old, but she put up such a stink about me taking just her brother I took her too. She has seen all of Harry Potter and she was fine with it. I agree with the one scene mentioned above. I thought some of the previews were more disturbing than the movie. It is a long movie (2:25 I think) and she was getting squirrelly at the end. Same here with HP. Stinkin' previews!! I agree some were way worse than the movie.
Princess Peach
My 9yo watched it. It's entirely for fantasy violence, I think. If he's seen any of the other Marvel movies, he'll be fine. Make sure to stay til the VERY END! Yes, stay through the credits for an extra scene.

mo2
I took my 5yo. It was a little long and he got antsy during the *plot* portions of the movie. (He's an action man, my little guy.) Once they started fighting, he was great. :D
