astrid
I don't think I ever updated you on Molly's "D" in "wellness" class, earned for not having her sneakers. Long story short, dh and I decided to pursue it. Nicely, and under the guise of an "honest question" (which really, it was) and after a few quizzical looks from the principal who was shocked that this was the teacher's policy, the grade has been changed to a B. Molly had to make up the class after school, but that grade (an A) was averaged with the D to give her a B. Thanks for all of the comments and support! astrid
Night Elf
Good for you! I wonder if the teacher will now change her policy.

Tammyla
I'm glad you were able to reslove it. The policy was pretty far over the line, imo.
Catherine
Ys know, something similar happened to my high school freshman. His band grade, a high A first semester, at the mid term report was a low C, because he had forgotten a letter that had to be returned. I did not pursue it, but I think I will now. Grrr!
