dtsmamtj
If you have a hospital in your area that has a Neurodevelopmental Center in it you can check there. That is what we use and "so far" are getting positive results for our son. Ours seems to be supportive of educational choices (public, private OR homeschool) also. Kelli in TN
We have a private speech therapist. She was recommended by our pediatrician. Perhaps your pediatrician or family physician can recommend a private therapist.

Jen500
We found ours through our pediatric dentist. She had previously worked for the school district before becoming frustrated at the lack of progress.
amyable
Local universities that have speech-language pathology programs often have low(er) cost clinics where the therapy is done by students but supervised by professionals. ASHA has a "locate a professional" page Yellow pages under "speech-language pathologists" or "rehabilitation" (esp any pediatric places) I know a few school based SLPs (I used to be one!) that would do extra therapy in their spare time - maybe call one of the other schools in your area and talk to the SLP? Maybe they have friends or could give you another contact to try.
Kathy in MD
Call your local private schools also. They often have parttime ST's working with their students or lists of specialists they refer their students to.
