ereks mom
I store them in the refrigerator and I don't pay any attention to the expiration date. Assuming they haven't gone moldy, does the expiration date matter? Would you eat them if they were out of date?
Remudamom
If they aren't moldy you can eat them. I just ate one from my fridge thats been in there weeks and weeks. If I keel over and die I'll let you know.
jillian
I'd eat them. Then again I accidentally bought bacon without looking at the label and it's use by date was Feb. 1 I noticed after I cooked it up. Yep we ate it.

sweetbasil
You're talking about the commercial, already-cooked ones, right? Assuming you don't live somewhere where you can get fresh cooked tortillas at your grocery store (made in-house), the ones you bought are probably LOADED with preservatives. Real, homemade flour tortillas go bad very quickly.
In the Rain
 I just looked at the package. The expiration date was in....... <gulp> .......September!! So, how was it? My dh would eat it in a heartbeat. I'd probably pile my taco onto a pile of lettuce. ;)
Catwoman
 I just looked at the package. The expiration date was in....... <gulp> .......September!! :ack2: :ack2: :ack2: I wouldn't care how they looked or smelled -- I'd toss them. I wouldn't be comfortable eating something that expired that many months ago. Even if they wouldn't make you sick, I would think they would taste pretty plasticky from being in the plastic bag in the refrigerator for such a long time. And the texture might be weird by now, too. PS. Does anyone know whether or not Remudamom died? She hasn't posted to let us know that she's dead, so I'm assuming she's OK. ereks mom
You're talking about the commercial, already-cooked ones, right? Yep. Couldn't tell about the preservatives by reading the package. It only had a couple of things I couldn't pronounce easily. :D

Catwoman
No, I'm sorry, I turned green and died. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I'll miss you. :( (Is there any chance of some sort of miraculous recovery?)
creativish
Hard taco shells go bad too... they might not make you die but they do make tacos taste really really bad:ack2:
ereks mom
We ate them, and we are fine. They made good tortilla pizzas. The tortillas tasted fine, but the cheese was beginning to get a little too sharp, or they would've tasted perfect. :)
