momto2Cs
I'm looking to get one of those school-type manual pencil sharpeners that you can attach to the wall. Our electric one breaks more leads than it sharpens, and the kids constantly misplace the handheld little plastic ones. Where could I order one of these? Amazon? Rainbow Resource? Other? Thanks! I got this pencil sharpener, too. Love it!! My dh was aghast that I spent $20 on a pencil sharpener, but then he used it to sharpen a pencil...and another... and another... He and the kids spent ten minutes sharpening all our pencils because they were having so much fun turning out perfect points in a matter of seconds. :D

I asked for the Classroom Friendly sharpener for Christmas :001_smile:. I even ordered it for myself. :001_smile: I love it and so do my girls. For the first month, our pencils were very sharp and disappearing quickly. Now that the excitement is over, we're not losing pencils as quickly. momto2Cs
Thank you all for the recommendations! I'll have a new pencil sharpener soon now, leaning toward the classroom friendly one, but I'll check stores around here first.
savmom
We have a Boston Champion pencil sharpener (link is to eBay). It has a self feeding grip that holds the pencil so no more broken tips or prematurely-shortened pencils from too much pressure :D. My dad got it about 50 years ago but if you can find one in working condition, you will NEVER want another sharpener again!
Halcyon
There was a thread on this not to long ago. Here is the updated one. She recommended this sharpener. Here is her followup thread. ...................
Thanks Halcyon!! I am a pencil snob too and I am super excited about this sharpener. I just bought it. Can you tell my why you liked the Noir Pencils better than Black Warriors or Ticonderogas?
