Dana
I have taught by writing notes :D Hope your voice returns. With me it's gone for a day, then back as a horrible rasp.
Jean in Newcastle
Your boys are old enough to have their assignments written or typed out for them at least for some subjects. I've taught by writing notes before too.

And if this is the same thing a lot of friends have had, it will last 2 to 3 weeks.

ElizabethB
:grouphug: Could your oldest 3 take turns reading the read alouds? If they are classics or very popular, you might also be able to find audio of them that you can download.

Starr
The best thing you can do is really not talk and don't whisper. I've heard whispering is harder on your vocal cords. You want to be well for vacation!
Rosie_0801
Yes, they should get right on it so they can do school tomorrow!!:lol::lol: Yes indeed! All they need is the alphabet and they can employ the Rochester method. That even sounds official, doesn't it? Rosie
MariannNOVA
My kids would be turning cartwheels in the street! :D My dh would probably be right there with them.:glare: Have everything typed and ready to go -- for the younger ones, improvise or do something totally different that is tied in with their work but doesn't require your voice -- DVDs? iTunes? And don't whisper --- don't say a thing. Get better soon.:grouphug:
