VERY promising job possibility

Recommended Posts

Congratulations!! We recently relocated for a a new job for my husband. It has been such a relief! A lot of hassle and headache and transition, but overall just a big relief for him to be employed again, and especially in much better working circumstances than before. A husband with a job he truly enjoys is such a blessing!

Did you have to move very far?

We only have to move 2 hours away. Just far enough that a commute doesn't make sense.....

We moved almost exactly two hours away, so I understand completely. For a few months, my husband worked and stayed with family during the week and just came home on weekends. Then we decided to go ahead and move up with him, but ended up paying for two houses for a few more months which was very stressful! But we finally have great tenants in our house and are starting to get settled into the new house.

I just told the XH. He was bummed but didn't do any threatening. When I first married dh, XH screamed at me, 'you better not move my son away from me!'

He was much more subdued this time. Was trying to get me to tell him dh's salary. :001_huh:

He said, 'well, there is no way we can keep current visitation schedule. It would be impossible!' I just said yes and that we have time to work it out.

We are concerned about the two houses issue as well. We have friends who want to rent ours (but can't afford what market would bring) and friends in Tulsa who would rent to us. It would be a wash....but we eventually want to sell here buy there and that gets sticky with friends renting from us....they would be giving up a VERY inexpensive (but too small) house to rent ours so I don't want to just do that for a few months and then kick them out, ya know?

So stressful.
