Roadrunner
We are about to study him in history and I am looking for a separate book for my boy. Amazon has sooooo many choices I am lost. Can anybody recommend a really good biography of Alexander the Great for a six year old? Don't worry about the reading level. Usborn? Capt_Uhura
We have the Suzanne Strauss Art book on Alexander the Great. I enjoyed the portions of it that I read. Have you tried your library?

Have you tried your library? We are in a small town and the library is seriously lacking around here. http://www.amazon.com/Early-Times-Meets-Story-Alexander/dp/1877653438/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320944319&sr=8-1-fkmr2 Is this the one? Thanks!
TrulySusan
We did Alexander the Great several weeks ago and my DS7 loved all things Alex. One of our favorite books by far was Alexander the Great Rocks the World by Vicky Alvear Shecter. We borrowed several books from our library but this was absolutely the most fun. Amazon has a good description. It says it's for grades 5-8, but my 2nd and 4th grade sons loved it.

I saw this thread earlier and dd and I couldn't remember the name of the book she loved but this was it. By far, this was her favorite. She even voluntarily did a little written summary of what she read.
