It doesn't have to have been published in 2011, it just needs to be popular right now. All the lists I've been finding are pretty "meh". Anyone have any good recommendations? The third book was a gem. My son and I read it this summer and we still talk about it on occasion. Of course, my son likes to talk about those Penderwick girls for any reason. I read a lot (a LOT) of YA, and they're the only books I've read recently that are truly unique. Plus, I've heard they'll be making a movie.
