His huge bed takes up a LOT of space! Maybe I should just get rid of it. Perhaps your 15lb dog is the Alpha and gets the good bed? the 15 lb dachsund is DEFINITELY the alpha male, but he's lying on the OTHER small dog bed which I keep on the couch so that he won't lie on the couch itself.:glare: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rose in BC Posted October 22, 2011 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Same reason my 80 pound bernese mountain dog decided she'd rather eat her dinner out of the tiny red bowl our lap dog eats out rather than her queen size bowl. I will attempt a few guesses because my dog is only part greyhound and completely weird. 1. The smaller bed is softer and greyhounds prefer upholstered comfort. 2. The smaller bed is located in a safer spot where the greyhound can have a wall behind him (and preferably a corner) so nothing can sneak up on him in his sleep. 3.
