WishboneDawn
Keep it all for a while. You can always pass it on but TRUST ME, there will be a lot of trial and error and you'll find what will work and what won't as you go.

Hunter
Hold on to Eagle's Wings CGC. It has generic worksheets and good generic worksheets are like gold. Draw Write Now are excellent open and go art lessons. Don't give that away!
Tracy
I received a similar gift last year. I decided to use PaperbackSwap to get rid of anything that I didn't want. Then I was able to essentially trade what I didn't need for other books that would be more useful. (I like using literature-based curricula, so that is what I got instead.) For me personallly, I don't care much for workbooks at the age of your child, and it looks like most of the books that you have are for that age group. I would say that unless you have a child that adores workbooks, get rid of them and trade them for something better.
CountryGirlShake
No, mine isn't into workbooks so he wouldn't miss any of them. Could someone please message me with a K plan.... I am so lost.
WishboneDawn
Don't worry. :) K should really just be a gentle introduction to sit down work and the routine of school work. Pick up some cuisenaire rods and Miquon for some math play. Read a lot of legends, folklore and myths. Pick up some K-gr.1 maze and dot-to-dot books. Take a lot of nature walks and play around in the kitchen with baking and exciting chemicals (baking soda and any acid :)) Pull out the workbooks every once in awhile and see what appeals to your son. Let him browse them to see what he'd like to try. But look at K as exploration not just for him but for you as well.

Tracy
My plan for K: FIAR and SWR. FIAR includes Social Studies, Language Arts, Art, Math and Science, and SWR includes phonics, spelling, reading and handwriting. I might supplement science with BFSU and math with some fun games. That is it. With my 1st, I planned way too much. My 3yo already is really good in math, so I don't see the point in doing a K program where they mostly learn how to count and add single-digit numbers. He will learn those things just fine in 1st. twoxcell
These are the ones I would keep: How to teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons(I would give this a try at least before passing it on.) Eagle's Wings Considering God's Creation, workbook and TM(I actually had and sold this because it wasn't our thing. I would hold onto it though because you may like it.) Draw, Write, Now... on the Farm(we love DWN) Big book of God's Amazing Creation(not sure what this is but it sounds good)

Draw, Write, Now... on the Farm(we love DWN) :iagree:I would at least keep these for now! I tried 100 Easy Lessons but switched to OPGTR, but it might work for you. We have fun with the Draw, Write, Now books. As far as a K plan, my signature shows what we will be using.
