Rich with Kids
Looks gross to me, but my kids would think it was hilarious. And then they'd eat it. Maybe with good Italian sausage dipped in marinara?
Amy1k
Hilarious!
BatmansWife
My brother sent me this link. http://steamykitchen.com/15676-most-creative-way-to-serve-spaghetti.html I find this absolutely disgusting.... Really?? I think it's kind of cool. I don't know that I'd eat it...but it certainly is creative.
Jean in Newcastle
It's just hotdogs and spaghetti noodles. Not our usual kind of meal but the ingredients themselves aren't terrible. But then I insist on the expensive "natural" hotdogs.
Classical Country Mama
Oh, we've made these before, and it's lots of fun! You can make all different kinds of squiggly critters, including grinning ones with Rapunzel hair. What's particularly awesome is if you boil the hotdogs til they're so huge they're splitting in half. Yeeehaw! And have you seen "kids in sleeping bags"? You lay out refrigerated crescent rolls, stick a hotdog on top, and cover with another layer of crescent rolls, just like a sleeping bag. Bake til done. Then dot mustard for eyes and ketchup for hair (or whatever you want). Also a blast! Hotdogs are nasty, horrible inventions; might as well make 'em fun! Parrothead
I don't know that I'd eat it. I'm not a big hotdog lover. But it certainly is creative.
ocelotmom
I've done that. It's fun :) I don't see how it's any grosser than serving those ingredients separately. You can also apparently do it with boiled carrots if you're not into the hot dog thing.
LibraryLover
That would be fun for a kid halloween party.
*********
The boys and I did this last year, it was fun. :)
fairfarmhand
perhaps it is just that hot dogs in general most of the time give me a gag reflex. About twice a year I can eat one and enjoy it. Otherwise.:ack2:
