felicity
When absolutely nothing sounds good? I'm hungry--it's past lunch time but I can't think of anything I'd like to eat. Even cookies don't sound good. I have no m&ms right now (I handed them out to my dd for potty training) but even those don't sound good. felicity
Ahh, thank you. You have just saved me from spending $25 at In n' Out. Not all for me, of course, but if I get myself a burger and fries I have to get some for everyone. I'm off to try the popcorn. Sadly we have no yogurt. I have to go shopping
Impish
A peppermint candy. It usually takes an edge off enough for me to figure out what actual food sounds good.
ChristusG
I have major all day sickness and have for the past 6 weeks. Nothing has sounded good the entire time. I force myself to eat a diet of yogurt, bagels, toast, milk, and popsicles. I hate eating when nothing sounds good.
redsquirrel
I don't know. I have never not been able to find something I wanted to eat.
Jen in PA
A big spoonful of crunchy pb and a glass of milk. What started as a habit when I was too busy to eat is now my go-to meal substitute. Sometimes it's chocolate milk, depending on my mood.
4wildberrys
A nuked potato with tons of butter, half an avocado, generously sprinkled with salt!!! I wasn't really hungry at lunchtime, and then all of a sudden was starving! I don't do grains, gluten, sugar or anything packaged because it all seems to have trace gluten that gets me sick----so some days I crave massive fat and salt---like today :tongue_smilie:
Sophia
Apples and peanut butter.
Crissy
A cup of coffee with half and half and a splash of vanilla flavored creamer. It keeps me from eating all the things I don't want until I find the one thing I do want.
redsquirrel
Ahem... as I tell my children: If you don't know what you want to eat then you aren't hungry. If you were truly hungry, then what is in front of you would be appealing. Go do something else for an hour and try again.
felicity
Thank you for your ideas. They sound so good--I'll have to remember this the next time I'm uncreative. I do remember the pregnancy food aversions. Ugh. I couldn't be anywhere near chicken for nine months. Not fun.
