lakotajm
My dd7 loved Charlotte's Web, The Golden Goblet and Ben and Me. The others merely tolerate Mom's read-aloud time!;) Lakota

cjgrubbs
I just reread The Witch of Blackbird Pond to see if I would want my 5th grade son to read it. I think it has a very good message. I remember reading it in public school in either 5th or 6th. I think it would be a good read. I also had him read Golden Goblet this year. It was VERY good but it might be a tough read for younger than 5th unless they are strong readers. He is a strong reader and he read it at the beginning of the year just fine. It would make a great read aloud for the youngers though. We also read Boy of the Pyramids as a read aloud this year (we are studying ancients) and it was very good. It is hard to find. I got it from Simply Charlotte Mason site.
