LibraryLover
I was hoping for under $50 or so. Best Buy has nothing I like, nor did the store where I purchased it. I want there to be heft in my hand.
Year Round Mom
Have you checked out Otterbox yet? I just got one for my Verizon iPhone and I like it. My case was made for the AT&T iPhone, but the differences are minimal and do not hinder use. I got a purple and white Defender :) I think a Defender costs $50 on their website; there's probably shipping. I ordered mine from Amazon (no help there!)... My phone feels hefty! My friend said something like, "Wow, that thing is huge!" I haven't dropped it yet, but feel confident it's well-protected... Love it! :D
ChristusG
You NEED an otterbox LOL. You can drop it a million times and it will still work just fine. Don't buy it from the otterbox website though....on Amazon you can get them for like $20 or $25.
mamato3 all-boy boys
Have you checked out Otterbox yet? :iagree: I have the Commuter one. I like that it has a hard shell, but that there are grippier parts to hold on to.
Mrs Mungo
These are different than the norm: http://gadgetsin.com/grove-custom-wooden-iphone-4-case.htm http://www.senacases.com/apple/iphone-4-cases/hampton-flip/ http://www.getuncommon.com/products/ I don't like the Otterbox, I think it's ugly, sorry, Otterbox fans! I've dropped my phone several times in my pretty case and it's come through unscathed. ;)
kathkath
this is just like an otterbox and I just got mine. http://www.meritline.com/agf-ballistic-hc-series-case-iphone-4-black-pink---p-64287.aspx i esp like how it has a holster/clip to go on your pants for wearing around the house. 4kids4me
Per instructions from this board, I, too, bought an Otterbox Defender. Would love to have something slimmer, but I feel much better knowing that the phone is protected -- from just about everything.

Lady Florida.
I have the Otterbox Defender, but if I find something that works as well but looks nicer I'd switch. Take a look at these. The IvySkin looks nice but is pricey. http://reviews.cnet.com/2300-6448_7-10004905.html?s=0&o=10004905&tag=mncol;page

I like the look, but it's not enough. I do need ugly. :001_smile: I I don't want to risk it. I also want to be able to grab it easily from my bag or what not (I am just being realistic) etc, so it can't be slim or slippery.

I think that's what I am going to get, although Best Buy has the otter box and I have some money left on an old gift card.
~Jo
I have an Otterbox. I'm not impressed. My phone got dropped off the kitchen counter - not hard, just slipped off. My screen cracked. It had been in the Otterbox for all of 2 hours. I got the thing because it was supposed to protect it well. My experience...It didn't. So I'm not about to keep sacrificing ugly case for protection when I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. Pun intended. So I'm looking for something I like better now. I'm thinking about getting a Sena magnetic flip case. They look nice and they have decent protection. My sister has one. I like that the case flips over to protect the screen. This is what I'm looking at right now. http://www.amazon.com/Sena-WalletSkin-Apple-iPhone-Burgundy/dp/B002VBXKZI/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&qid=1298677344&sr=8-
LibraryLover
My dh had his old BlackBerry in a leather case, and when he dropped it in the driveway, it shattered anyway, which is why I was not looking at that sort of thing. All I got is anecdote. :D;) So I don't know. I am finding the whole iphone 4 way too slippery and slim. I love what it does a whole heap, but I hate the way it feels like nothing. I have an Otterbox. Wendi
I bought this one at the Verizon store. (I think Amazon has it cheaper; I was in a hurry to get some protection on my phone, and my mom gave me some money for my birthday.)Obviously it's slim, but I already dropped it once in a parking lot, and there is a tiny scratch on the corner of the case, but no damage to the phone. (I also put a scratch-resistant cover on the front of the phone.) The texture of the case is nice; it's much easier to grip than the iPhone alone. I'm still browsing around and may buy something different in a couple of months; a lot of companies haven't come out with cases for the Verizon iPhone yet. I did try a Griffin or Griffith one at the store; it's like the Otterbox, very bulky. I like to slip my phone into my pocket, so I didn't want something bulky if it wasn't necessary. (If I had little kids who would be handling it, I would be more inclined to put up with the bulkiness.) Wendi
DawnM
I have an Otterbox Defender on my ipod touch. I wouldn't have any other case! If I ever get an iphone that is what I plan to get! Dawn
Lady Florida.
Oh, if I had money to burn, this would be the case I'd get. Slim and protective.
