susankenny
What programs can I use with multiple children (9 & 7)? I'd love to do as much together as possible, as 2 curriculum is just too tiring! Advice? Suggestions? Thanks, Susan
cherylw
I have a 10 yr old and a 9 yr old. I'm really looking at Heart of Dakota. It looks easy to use and claims to be open and go.
Holly
I'm using HOD Beyond with a 8 and 6yo this year. Next year we'll use Bigger (ages 9 and 7).
Mommy22alyns
I'm using My Father's World Adventures in the fall with both girls (will be 6 and 8).
jewel7123
Tapestry of Grace (TOG), as well as My Father's World (MFW).
Gooblink
Konos, especially for those ages...but IT is tiring, too. :) Ambleside - Charlotte Mason approach lesson plans and guidance free online TOG, though I think TOG's value is more apparent in middle-high school Sonlight Biblioplan Winter's Promise I'm just going off a top-'o-my-head list. I've not used any but Konos, TOG, and Ambleside.
4our4
This is our first year homeschooling and we are using Sonlight's Core 1 because I could combine my 6 and 8 year old. We're doing read alouds, history, geography, and science together but they've got their own level math, writing, grammar, and readers. Next year, I'm looking at Tapestry of Grace year because I will be adding a kindergartener to the mix and I don't want to add another Core for her. TOG will allow all my kids to study the same things, but at their own level. Of course, they'll continue to have their own level readers and math programs. I've also hear My Father's World works with multiple ages, but I haven't used that before.
jen3kids
Take a look at Moving Beyond the Page. It depends more on ability than age though. I did Sonlight Core 1 with my 6 and 8 years and then Core 2 when they were 7 and 9. It was easy to adjust the requirements for each of them.
