ourjourneys
We are looking for jewelers loupes that the kids can use for up close science discovery. Do any of you have a favorite resource for purchasing them?

foxbridgeacademy
I suggest Amazon(as little as $3.50)... no shipping $ (for prime) or order with $21 worth of books!
stripe
I tried to get them at Harbor Freight Tools, which supposedly carries them (thanks to a tip from someone here). My local store claimed to have them in stock but the employee could not locate them in the stock room. I returned about a month later. Shelf still empty. Very disappointed! It derailed my plans completely! So, I'm eagerly awaiting suggestions. Did not feel like paying $7 for shipping.

momto2Cs
http://www.the-private-eye.com/html/materials/MATmenu.html#loupes This is where I got ours.. actually, I ordered the Deluxe World in a Bag kit for the kids for Christmas. Comes with two of the loupes and some specimens, as well as a suggested activity booklet.
helena
http://www.the-private-eye.com/html/materials/MATmenu.html#loupes Scroll down for more. I highly recommend a lanyard. :iagree: I love this company! The lanyard is a must, it frees up your hands (especially once the kids figure out how to hold it in place with their eye).
