Corraleno
ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) has produced a free, downloadable, 270-page book on the history of astronomy world-wide (includes Asia, Pre-Columbian America, and indigenous peoples, as well as Europe & the Near East). It's wonderfully illustrated (full color), and focuses on world heritage sites of astronomical significance as well as the cultural and historical context for each region/time period. Awesome resource for anyone looking to tie science to history! http://www.astronomicalheritage.org/images/content/astroherit/WHC-internal/Astronomy-and-World-Heritage_Thematic-Study.pdf Jackie
