mommaduck
With these people that keep calling to ask if we have smoke alarms in our home or asking how many smoke alarms we have in our home. We get a bunch of those calls while at home and friends of ours are getting them while we are house-sitting. THREE calls in two minutes! One call came on call waiting while I was on the other line with the SAME supposed company. Then a minute after I tell them that it's none of their business or asking for personal information that I'm not going to give them, they call back! :glare: Get the hint people; it's NOT your business whether or not there is nor how many smoke alarms are in each home. I don't know you from Adam nor do I know of this "company" that you are calling on behalf of. Rant off...I'll go :chillpill: now.
DawnM
I have never had a call asking me this. I think I would just say, "Oh, we have 72 professionally installed alarms as my husband owns an alarm company, thank you" and hang up. Jean in Newcastle
Are you sure it is smoke alarms and not security alarms? I told the last guy who asked that it would be a breach of our security to tell him details about our security system.;)
mommaduck
It's definitely "smoke" alarms.

ThatCyndiGirl
Oh well, I got an offer to work on my roof when I lived in an apartment. ;) I get offers, by email, to help me enlarge body parts I don't even HAVE! :001_huh:
nmoira
It's a scam. (401) 401-0125 the most common "smoke alarm" number. It is spoofed though, so I have no idea where the calls really come from.
abbeyej
"Please place me on your Do Not Call List." "Please do not call my home again." etc. Do not engage their questions in *any* way. Tell them not to call again and *hang*up*. ... I'm afraid I have no qualms about walking the edge of civility with people who call my home to try to sell me things or harass me into taking surveys, etc.
