ABQmom
http://followthetumbleweedroad.blogspot.com/2010/08/school-supplies-oh-joy.html I posted about our fun with the school supplies this year. Surely there must be a support group for this addiction. :001_smile: Anyone else have pictures to share of their beautiful school supply inventory? MGK
You are so smart! Buying cute paper rather than new notebooks - why have I never thought of that? You have opened up a whole new avenue of fun school supply shopping for me and my school-supply addicted daughter. Thanks for sharing. Guest Alte Veste Academy
Oooh-la-la! I like! I started a thread recently about how to use up scrapbook paper too! This is a great idea!
JMDRAD
What a cute idea!!! I'm gonna steal it.:D I bought a few one inch flowered binders but I had to get boring naked three inch binders for history and language arts. Now I know how to make them pretty. :thumbup1: Thanks! lynds2
Great idea. I love how the binders would look on a book shelf. Thanks for sharing.

Satori
Cool idea! Another good idea to add to my list this month... I love organizing and LOVE school supplies. I'm on an art supply binge right now. I don't scrapbook, but I can't resist all the pretty paper so I find myself with lots of scrapbooking paper. Now you've given me a reason to use it! I'm in major organizing mode right now and don't have updated pictures, but here's a post of our new art and writing tables. I just got a bunch of Prismacolor markers, Derwent pencils, etc... I am cleaning my office right now, next it will be the homeschool loft. Edited August 5, 2010 by Satori
Holly
So much better than new binders! I'm going to steal your idea too. :D
RobinF
I posted on your blog but I love the idea of using scrapbook paper on the binders. I wanted color coded binders and this is the perfect way to make our white binders work with everything else we do.

runmiarun
Since my oldest will only be in K this year, I've been stocking up on crayons. I know I should have waited but I had a Target coupon for $1 off a $2 Crayola purchase. I purchased boxes of 24 count crayons for $1. I am so blissfully happy. I probably should have waited til the clearance sale but the tic started in my right eye so I had to buy the crayons....that sounds good. I've searched journals, blank, blank books, etc. and can't find them.
Satori
Saille, I think I recently tried to look for them on the Lakeshore Learning website and couldn't find them. I had to go to the store to get them, and I found them in the Arts/Crafts section. Next time I go I'm going to pick up a ton, we've been giving them as gifts to pen pals and my daughter uses them all the time! They are inexpensive to start, and are now an extra 20% off through September 9 or so, so now they're just $5. I did however find a link to their set of 30 Extra Blank Books. Here's my post where I talk about these little books. I should mention that we also love Bare Books.
Closeacademy
Those pencil boxes are great! I love all the little dividers in them. Thanks. One is a craft box and the other was for keeping stamps.:001_smile:
mommy123
You all are so organized! I have a long way to go, but I'm going to use some of your ideas! Thanks for sharing!!!
cin
I LOVE the scrapbook paper idea. My daughter is extremely hard on binders, so I have to buy the ugly, heavy duty ones. Unfortunately, those last a LONG time. This is a great way to dress them up as 'new' each year. THANK YOU!!!!!

She is the oldest in my house though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your scrapbook paper idea! I can't wait to get to work on those!
