OleanderRain
If so, what state are you in? What time were you able to see them? Take pictures if you can.

Parrothead
Wow, that sounds intriguing. Details, or a link? We are supposed to be able to see a pretty good show of the Northern Lights, but it started raining about 20 minutes ago.

HollyB
One article I read said that they peaked before sunset, but another said it will be closer to morning. I'm going to stay up a while longer. It's been years since I've seen them. They are so beautiful, but I need to sleep soon!
AuntieM
Thanks so much for the links, that NASA imagery is fantastic! I just went outside but couldn't see anything from here in the central plains. But we have too much light fromthe city, especially to the north. Hope you farther north get a better view. Seeing the Northern Lights is one of my "bucket list" items! danybug
I was not even aware that this was going to take place. Guess that's what happens without TV these days :glare:

newlifemom
We tried, but couldn't get far enough away from the lights, late enough without clouds. :( Oh well. Couldn't even see all three planets form a triangle, which was what we were originally going to look for.
milovany
Some friends were in Leavenworth, WA last night and said they saw them and it was awesome. We're an hour south of there, so hope to see them tonight.
