I am still indecisive about languages, so please help me if you have used such programs. What have you used and loved to teach/learn along with your kids for Spanish or French? The first (FrenchSmart 4) mostly builds vocabulary. We used these casually with Tell Me More and lots of reading. I bought easy French readers through here ..... http://www.scholastic.ca/clubs/lecture/ I also looked for children's French books at used book stores, Value Village, etc. As well, my dd listened to DVDs & CDs in French; for the DVDs I didn't care if she understood everything, I just chose either an easy one or one she was familiar with in English and we went from there. It is one hour a week for 13 weeks and is $65/kid. So both ds will be in the class. I don't know what we will do after this session because I have no long term plan for Spanish yet. It's not perfect but I will continue on with the series. You start each unit by reading a short story, then there are various activities and translations, quite a bit of variety.
