Hi -

Does anyone have any recommended resources for a study of China? We are adopting a baby from China and expect to travel by the end of the year. I want to read some books and do some activities with my 8 year old daughter before we go.

Thank you,

Suzanne

I keep lists on my blog of resources we have used...and here are book lists and link lists from our China unit study:

China resources

And then there are a few links about China on this post back when we learned about China with the Summer Olympics 08.

More China

Hope some of that helps! :)

Under China Resources we also ordered the Kit from China and we loved it. It was so cool getting a package that came from China.

Wow! You have all given me some wonderful suggestions. I'm sure we will have a lot of fun and learn a lot. My 8 year old was adopted from Kazakhstan and we have a terrible time finding resources about her birth country. She loves the books I have found and she is excited to learn about China.

Thank you all so much!

Suzanne

The books we used are shown in the post pictures.
