Senorita Tuna Fish
My girls want to do a unit study on etiquette and manners over the summer. They want to end the lessons with a tea party. Any suggestions on books? My internet and Amazon search has come up short.
Celly B
I'm not sure about a general etiquette guide, but I have Children's Tea and Etiquette: Brewing Good Manners in Young Minds, and it would be great leading up to a culminating tea party. It is co-written by John Harney of Harney & Sons teas, and it has beautiful watercolor illustrations. http://www.amazon.com/Childrens-Tea-Etiquette-Brewing-Manners/dp/0966347897/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275143688&sr=8-

ktgrok
I found several free resources online. They are old, but the differences are really fun to discuss. This is one I found. http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~joe/digilib/ katie
Janie
...or maybe that was in my dreams! We are looking for something like this to use in our school.
CroppinIt
We use this program: http://www.theetiquettefactory.com/ It's a little on the expensive side, but my kids really, really enjoy it. We have the beginner's version with the DVD and the CD with the music... I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
MtnTeaching
I used this for a manners study I did with my kids when they were younger. "A Little Book of Manners: Courtesy & Kindness for Young Ladies" by Emilie Barnes. It is a cute little book and you can take a "look inside" at Amazon. She also has one for boys and I intermixed these since I have a girl and a boy 19 months apart. I think your tea party idea is fun!
NaturalFamiLEA
We are going to use Manners Made Easy for the Family this year. It has one short lesson per day for the year.
JeneralMom
Just as something fun for Tea Party ideas - if you like Fancy Nancy, there is a Fancy Nancy Tea Party.
