susankenny
Nurse Bee? Honey Making Bee? Levels 1, 2, and 3? What is the list of these titles and levels? How does one's "rank" change? I've noticed that I'm moving up the bee ladder, and I'm just curious to know what my future holds:D Thanks, Susan

Susan in KY
A few years ago, on the old board, someone (don't for the life of me recall who) referred to the WTM forums as the hive mind, and it stuck. As you post, you'll move up the bee ladder until you reach bee keeper (10,000 posts, I think?) and then, who knows what? Queen Bee is at 750, I think. :001_smile: Until then, I am stuck being a royal larvae. Ewww. :tongue_smilie:

AuntieM
Starbuck, you crack me up! FWIW, I think the "hive" and "hive mind" references began on the old boards as a reference to the Borg collective from the Star Trek world. I guess the comparison to productive honeybees was more appropriate, and when the new board format was introduced a few years ago, the designations came with it. Long-time folks, am I remembering that correctly?

Long-time folks, am I remembering that correctly? Yes, this is correct. It's a Star Trek Next Generation reference. I've been on these boards for just over 10 years now, and they existed before I joined......I'm just not sure how long they were there before I found them (days, weeks, months, years??), but it's been around for over 10 years.
