stripe Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 I just got mine set up. It's pretty neat when it comes clear but hard to get a clear image both because it moves around and is so magnified. I did notice that this said it wouldn't be delivered until mid September. You gals must have wiped them out before I ordered! stripe Posted August 22, 2011 Share Posted August 22, 2011 I did the same thing before my dd8 noticed there were 2 pieces of plastic (I'm sure there's a name for them that is totally slipping my mind) in the box. Just slip one of them onto the end with the light. It makes it so that you can put the microscope right against an object. It's then easy to focus and get a clear picture. I installed the software from their website (my cd was broken when I got) and I have an icon on my desktop of a book with a magnifying glass and a large lower case e is showing through the mag. glass. I click it pulls a screen up that we can see what we're looking at and take videos (I think that's what we were doing!) but when I click on Digital viewer it says...oh wait, I was just trying it as I was typing and it worked. :tongue_smilie: Thank you Stripe for taking the time to help. There is a tiny black speck on the lens which shows up on the video/pictures. It is annoying and I guess I will have to call Amazon and get it replaced. :glare: I dislike returning things. She saw it at Office Depot and wanted to buy it then (for $140 :001_huh:! She has money saved, but I told her that we should check Amazon first because they would probably have it cheaper.
