Pongo
Sitting in Church, I get this GREAT idea. I tell my dd , "Let's invite the Jr. High youth group girls over, I'll make apps, dinner, we can play pool and board games. Then we will build a bone fire, have smore's, hot cocoa, and play an after-dark flashlight scavenger hunt on our trails in the woods." Of course, she is thrilled and says okay I'll let them know. I just got the count 16 Jr. High girls are getting dropped off tomorrow at 4:00, pick-up at 9:00pm. Did I think everyone would say yes.....nope! Am I insane!!!! What do you think? Apps- chips, dips, mozzarella sticks, veggie tray Dinner- Penne pasta, garden salad, garlic bread, sauce w/ meatballs Dessert- Smore's & cocoa, as well as brownie bites and mini doughnuts. My husband is in charge of the fire, my seven year old is going to sleep over her cousins house and my ds will be hanging out with a friend. Good, right? Pongo
Oh good, it was such a spur of the moment thing. I am a planner and I would normally NEVER attempt this without planning. I went to Sam's and got enough food for everyone. I hope they have fun, my dd is a bit on the shy /reserved side, and I think she will feel VERY comfortable because she is at home. Mommyof4ks
Sounds like fun! Spur of the moment things usually turn out better for me, so we skip the planning often lol.

TMc
What a great example you are for your daughter. Having the ability to do things in the spur of the moment is a special trait. Y'all are going to have a fantastic evening.
