Pink Fairy
When I first started hsing I really enjoyed The Old Schoolhouse. It has lots of ads--which are fun to look at when you are hunting for the perfect curriculum--and good tips. The only drawback for me is that I no longer need the curriculum help, and the spiritual vibe is off for me. The flavor is very evangelical fundamentalist Protestant, and I am Roman Catholic. I got my last subscription for less than $8, or I probably wouldn't have renewed. So it could be a great magazine for you, depending on what you're looking for. Chelle in MO
I enjoy Practical Homeschooling and Homeschool Enrichment. You might find some good info if you search for related threads. I know magazines have been discussed here a number of times. Chelle
Mom-ninja.
I really like Secular Homeschooling. Even though it is secular it is not disrespectful to people who home school for religious reasons. The editor has quite a sense of humor. In general, I get the same kind of support and info here instead :D

johnandtinagilbert
I love This Old Schoolhouse. I have eyed it for many years and when I could purchase it for $8, I did. The first issue was fun, full of info. on teaching writing (I can always enjoy hints on writing), and full of general encouragement as a mother, wife, Christian woman, and home schooling.
