Miss Peregrine
to see my 7 yo plug her iPod in to the computer and download her own audiobooks. When my 13 yo DD was her age we had cassette tapes that we had to turn over/rewind and a few CDs.
elegantlion
Today my ds made his own stop-motion video and added voice overs via the computer. I had no clue our computers had built in microphones. :001_huh: I used to feel like I had a handle on the latest technology, but he's leaving me in the dust. Heather in Neverland
:iagree: I watched my 5yo plug in his dad's MP3 player, then transfer movie files from a drive on our computer to the MP3 player so he can watch Magic School Bus in the car. I just sat there with my mouth agape.
Sugarfoot
I know... My 14 y.o. uses the same movie editing software that the actual movie studios do. I have NO IDEA how he does it...
Cera
I found a tape of my husband reading aloud while cleaning today and my 5 year old had no idea what it was.
TammyinTN
I'm right there with you guys. I have to get my 11 year old to help me all the time with our new technology. ;)
asta
I can't even turn on our TV. We have 3 remotes and there is some odd sequence of events that has to occur and... forget it. I'll read a book. a

Would you get him to send me a tutorial?? ;) I can't figure out how to get movies on my computer to download onto my son's ipod touch for him.
mo2
I know what you mean. Remember when we were kids and had to show our parents how to set the time on the VCR so it would stop flashing 12:00? I now know how they felt.
Heather in WI
My dh and I were just laughing about how we have turned into our grandparents who could never set the time or record on their VCRs. Our new VCR/DVD player is so dang complicated! We still can't reliably record anything. The running joke here is about when dh tried to record a Green Bay Packer game and recorded Ice Dancing instead.
