Hi all,

Just a quick heads-up from Peace Hill Press: Five lectures by Susan have just been added to our "Audio Products" section at PeaceHillPress.com. All were recorded at the 2009 Well-Trained Mind 10th Anniversary conference.

They are:

A Plan for Teaching Writing: Focus on the Elementary Grades

A Plan for Teaching Writing: Focus on the Middle Grades

A Plan for Teaching Writing: Focus on the High School Years

Teaching Students to Work Independently

What is Literary Analysis? When, Why, and How Should I Teach It?

We thought some of you might be interested in those. Have a lovely Friday!

Is the content of these more detailed than just reading TWTM?

VERY much more. When I heard all three lectures on writing all through the grades, I finally got an entire "thread" for teaching in my mind. The lit. analysis one is extremely helpful, too, esp. because she gave guidelines/general questions to generate essay ideas in the different content areas. The independence lecture was very practical and helpful, too. Given true to her style of organized learning. This was organized, step-by-step how to give more independence.
