Quiver0f10
aka Wal-Mart and the people were pleasant. The store was clean. No one was rushed. People smiled at me as I passed by them. A few even joked with me.:svengo: The cashier was nice and chatted while he quickly rang up my items. And I underspent by $50! :hurray:
Suzanne in ABQ
That's probably because you went early. The monsters haven't risen from their coffins yet. ;)
Tammyla
I'm happy your just before Christmas shopping trip was pleasant. The crowds will always drain me, but the people working in our WM's are friendly and I appreciate that.

We are expecting some snow and in Arkansas when the forecast is for flurries the stores do get busy. Dh and I left here at 7:30 went to SAM'S , WM, the bank, Aldi's and the Dollar Store and were home by 10! :D

jujsky
I think Wal-Marts are different based on where you live. All the ones around me are evil. Fortunately, there are plenty of other options where I live so I usually manage to avoid the store. I don't think I've stepped foot in one in over a year. :D

ladydusk
I went this morning too and it went great! Hired our favorite babysitter for an hour to entertain two while I shopped with the third for the others. The checkout lady was great and cheerful. There was no line. My shopping is officially done! LND1218
I am so glad it was a good experience for you! I don't think I have ever had a good experience at our WalMart -although I have been to ones where I have had a good experience. Just no in this state! One year I went to Walmart on Christmas Eve to grab something. It was busy, and I was talking to the cashier. I commented on it. And she grumbled about how busy it was and she said to me "Why don't you people get your shopping done ahead of time? So it's not so busy in here?" Oh nothing like the Christmas cheer of a WalMart employee here! Edited December 23, 2009 by Steph
