JoyfulMama
We're talking tea - the traditional, drinking kind here, people. If you are looking for more... sorry to disappoint. :tongue_smilie: The last couple weeks I've been using my good tea pot on a more regular basis. It is porcelain - Spode if it makes a difference. I'm careful to not let tea sit in it, and wash it out right away. However, I have noticed a browning of the spout. My finger only reaches so far, and not very far at that. My grandmother is not able to answer these questions for me anymore... so I'm hoping some one else will share some wisdom!

Dayle in Guatemala
Those little brushes you buy to clean out baby bottles. They work awesome for those types of things!
Chris in VA
I use a little rice and soap/water--and maybe just the tiniest touch of bleach.
Spy Car
I take it as part of the seasoning of a mellowed tea-pot, and figure it's better than drinking bleach :tongue_smilie: Bill

Ellie
I found a skinny brush, like a bottle brush, that was made specifically for teapot spouts.
