Teresa in MO
I am thinking of getting Wii Resort for Christmas for my dc. Does anyone have it? How close is it to Wii Sports? Do your kids like playing it? I bought Outdoor Challenge last year for Christmas and it kind of bombed. Don't want a repeat.

Teresa in MO
anyone have it or is it too new?
Cindy in NY
We have had it for a month or so. DS 12 likes it. It has a cool frisbee game and archery that he likes. DS 11 and ds 9 play it rarely. Honestly, none of the Wii games have held their interest for too long. They played Wii Outdoor Challenge a lot for a while but haven't used it for quite some time. Same with Wii play and Wii sports. Wii resort is more visually appealing. The island is very cool and some of the games are really about exploring the island. I like to watch them play those. I do expect it to pass out of favor in another month or so though.
Quad Shot Academy
My son has played it at friend's homes and it is the one gift he want the most this year. Do be aware that you have to buy a new attachment for each remote.
khope1
AND LOVE IT! We play as a family all of the time. However, we like the Outdoor Challenge as well, but definately play Resort more. My favorite game is the jousting type thingy. But my arms kill me the next day. LOL Good luck! Oh, and when we bought it, the motion thing was in the box, so see if that is still an option-we bought it when it first came out. Then we just bought an extra motion sensor for our other remote. mommylaw
Gosh, I guess we have had it since the end of summer(ish). My kids all love it. It is definitely the most popular game in the house, especially with the little ones. I've only played it once and it was fun. It seems really cute. plain jane
We all love it here! It gets played the most so far. Same here, although now that the new Wii Mario Bros has come out, it's definitely a toss-up. :) FWIW, we've had Sports Resort since the day it came out and it still gets played whenever the kids are allowed to play Wii. wbtx
The ping pong is a lot of fun but I am not very good at it lol. We have loved every Wii thing we have purchased. Wanda
hornblower
We have it & it's fun. Ds & I had a bike race yesterday & in the evening I want kayaking & wakeboarding on my own. If you really go for it, your arms do feel it the next day. I wouldn't say it's the BEST game but it is fun.

How many motion sensors do you need? How many can play at once 2 or 4?

praisefor3
I read about this tonight on this board so I googled and discovered that Sam's Club had the best deal: $54 which included 2 of the special motion attachments. So when we were out tonight I stopped and picked it up! Thanks for the recommendation. I think we will enjoy it as a family gift.
