Aubrey
you know how it is. you stack them gently, but you're out of space, so you stack. they get stuck. you know how to wiggle them just so & get them apart. only this time, they won't come. they're 2 of my best mixing bowls. i'd hate to lose them. any magic solutions? 4kiddies
Put the bottom one in warm water and fill the top one with ice. HTH!

hornblower
Put the bottom one in warm water and fill the top one with ice. HTH! :iagree:I have to do this often with one set of small bowls I use for my cat. I usually don't bother with the warm water. I use ice water for the top bowl. I have in the past used small squares of parchment paper for bowls that did this if you want to prevent it. Just keep them in that spot in the cupboard... Garga
Oh that is SO cool! Next time the cat bowls get stuck together, we're having a science lesson in my house!
Aubrey
Put the bottom one in warm water and fill the top one with ice. HTH! How long should this take? Do I need to stand there & wiggle them or back away? I can't tell that anything's happening, but maybe I'm being too impatient? They're pretty wedged. Ugh. 4kiddies
I have wiggled in the past but it shouldn't take too long. Maybe see if you can also get some oil or soap down there in between the two to help it along.

Jean in Wisc
Get out the Pam or whatever oil spray you have and spray down between the bowls. Then put something very, very soft under neath and pick up the bottom bowl, turning it around and upside down without touching the inside bowl, allowing it to shift. Aubrey
It usually happens right away. I agree about trying water or oil too. Ick. I was afraid of that. Usually I can slip them right apart. When that didn't work, I was worried. I tried water, came here. Off to try oil. *Crossing fingers.*
shalom22
Be sure to hold your mouth just right....
EKS
Put cold water in the top one and immerse the bottom one in warm water.
Aubrey
Whew. Thanks, ladies. After spray-oiling them, wiggling, & holding my mouth just right... I pulled out a spatula & wiggled it up in there here & there. Heard a cracking sound once or twice, but...the bowls are surgically separated w/ no signs of damage. Now I just have to rewash them. :glare: Better than re-buying, though!
st_claire
For future another thing I try is filling the bottom with water and putting it in the freezer. The ice expands and pushes the top item out.
