  1. I may possibly have a new niece or nephew in about 9 months. Shhh! It's a secret! Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  2. What a horrible human being. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  3. Our lawn mower isn't working. Poor dh is trimming the whole yard with the weed eater. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  4. Captain Mal is a nudist. I let him run around naked for potty training. Now I can't get him to wear pants in the house. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  5. This all sounds exhausting. I hope your head feels better. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  6. Kiddo climbed into bed with us at 3 AM. I've basically been half-conscious ever since. I'm trying to finish my coffee before we have to go to his game. I love coffee. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  7. My husband is also clueless. He is willing to help, but I have to tell him exactly what to do. And I'm the default parent, so the boys always come to me first. Even if I'm busy juggling 3 different things and husband is watching TV. It's frustrating. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  8. There's a concert tonight that I really wanted to go to. At a free festival in a neighboring town. I told my husband six months ago that I wanted to go. I told my husband 3 weeks ago to remind him. Husband got sent on a business trip and the only thing I've asked to do all year got cancelled. I guess it doesn't really matter since Weapon X has a basketball game in the morning, so he couldn't stay with my in-laws anyway. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  9. My husband won't each ranch anything. Or sour cream. He's weird. Sour cream and ranch are probably the best things ever. Except bacon. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  10. I drank a fancy coffee with an extra shot of espresso. Spilled it on my shirt. But that's okay. Because I bought a new shirt today and now I get to wear it.
  11. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending love and good thoughts to his family and friends. :grouphug:
  12. We did some math this morning, but Weapon X was having trouble concentrating. So I've sent them to the playroom to get the wiggles out while I get our next lesson ready ITT. Husband is on a business trip for the night, so I'm thinking I will just pick up a pizza after basketball practice. They like it better when I don't cook anyway.
  13. Just tap on each quote to select it. Then at the top it should say "2 selected" and have a little button. Click the button and it will open the reply screen. Easy Peasy. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  14. So nice! I love this time of year. It's almost time for us to take our fall break. I love those nights! I've been listening to crickets for days. Well, just one particularly noisy one that my frog refuses to eat. He's starting to drive me batty. I just figured out how to multi quote in tapatalk. It was much easier than expected. 15. No one has ever asked me this question about science or literature. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  16. I'm hungry. What's for lunch? Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  17. I've made that mistake more than I'd like to admit. I'm currently trying to not spend any money today. There's some stuff I need, but we get paid tomorrow. It'll just have to wait. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  18. At our first therapy appointment of the day. We should have a little time between appointments. Not enough to actually go home, but we'll probably go to the park for a bit. I think I've given up on schooling him on Wednesdays. As long as we read together, I'll call it good. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  19. Febreze is meant for fabric. Activated charcoal is probably your best bet. We used to use it for decontamination. It absorbs odors. I would also probably put open containers of baking soda in and around the cardboard boxes and books. Critter's suggestion of boxing them up with charcoal would probably work. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, but I have to admit I'm finding it a little funny. I never thought I would have this conversation. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  20. Captain Mal got a hold of my phone while I was playing ketchup. He lost my place and I think I missed something. Too lazy to go back and find it. Jean- sorry about your jaw. I can't stand going to the dentist. It aggravates my TMJ something fierce. Hope it feels better tomorrow. Blessings- It looks like you've got all the bases covered. If it feels light, maybe let the dc pick an elective type course? Or just let it be light. We had a high of 83 degrees today. Amazing. I can't believe it actually feels like fall this early.
  21. The other day I was with my 5 year old son and my 6 year old nephew. My son said something along the lines of, "I need to learn to do that." My nephew said, "you need to learn to..." Then he lifted his leg and farted loudly. They both thought it was hilarious. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  22. I agree. That question is too general. But they probably don't know what they should be asking. I would start with briefly explaining your state regulations and requirements. Follow that with questions to try to discern what sort of information they are looking for. What are their reasons for considering homeschool? Do they know their educational philosophy? Do they even know what an educational philosophy is? What is their teaching style? Their kids' learning styles? Any particular concerns? There is just way too much to answer that question. And you don't want to bore or overwhelm them with too much information. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
  23. The weather is lovely and I've sent the boys outside to play. It's sort of making me want to decorate for fall. But that seems a little pointless with how messy my house is. I would have to clean first. I probably won't decorate. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
