I was out of coffee filters this morning. I had to go get coffee from the corner store. I wish I still lived in town, because that would have been a perfect excuse to buy a fancy coffee. Alas, even I am not willing to make a 40 minute round trip for fancy coffee. I halfheartedly listened to the debate last night. It made me sad. My internet is slow. The weather is absolutely delightful today. The boys let me sleep in until 8 this morning. I approve of sleeping until 8. It feels good to be a gangster.

I don't have a cat. But I do mount hooks in my wall and tie down the tree with fishing line so babies, toddlers, dogs, and a clumsy adult (that's me) can't knock it over.

Planning early makes it less stressful for me. I like to have all the presents bought, activities and meals planned, decorations available. Socialization is totally an issue for me. I'm a weird geeky introvert, and socializing is work for me. I was in public school for my entire education, and I never learned how to make a friend. I had friends only because I was around them every day, and after a few years we would start to talk. That is not an efficient way to make new friends. My son is also a bit anxious in social situations. He has actually started to come out of his shell now that he's not forced to do it daily. Its easier for him to socialize once or twice a week.

Then I can freak out about Christmas. I've been up since 5 for absolutely no reason. I've already had my first cup of coffee and folded and put away a basket of laundry. I ordered a new case for my kindle. I want to go back to sleep.

The airport scene is the only fun part of that one. Otherwise, it was pretty slow.

We used to go camping every year when I was little. I want to start the tradition with my kids, but we just haven't had the opportunity. Apparently time and money are mutually exclusive. We either have one or the other, never both. I just made the world's most awesome pork chops. I didn't do anything special, but they turned out really well. At my last doctor checkup, they asked me if I exercise regularly. My response: I have 2 boys under the age of 6.

My son has 20 t shirts,13 of which feature a superhero. That's a lot of t shirts. He only has 1 pair of pants that fit.

My oldest started holding his around the same time he started walking, which was 9 months. He had places to be and couldn't sit still to drink a bottle. My second refused a bottle completely until 14 or 15 months. That boy just loved boobies. Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk

I thought my frog was getting sick. He looked a little awful this morning. But I cleaned his aquarium and changed out the water, and now he's starting to look better. I am a bad froggy mom. I should have changed it days ago.

I don't know why it's frustrating me today. I'm usually not pushy with him. And I've always known that this would be difficult for him due to his language delay. It just feels like he's not trying. But maybe I'm expecting too much. Learning to read is not an easy thing to do.
