  1. Take off the pedals and use it as a balance bike. There is ZERO need to use training wheels because the whole point is the gain balance. Not learn to pedal. My last two have completely taught themselves after using an actual balance bike from 2-4 or so. My youngest picked up her cousins bike and took off down the street. My neighbor, after seeing my success, took off the pedals of an older (8 years old?) Girl whom she was helping. She rode it around a few times balance bike style and that was the end. Of all the things I wish I have known about with my older ones this is it. We taught 7 kids the traditional way and it was SO much harder than the balance bike way.
  2. I isolated for 13 days. Even then I didn't want to hug/kiss. I was totally freaked out but my husband was not. He gently helped me relax enough to be ok with it. He didn't catch it.
  3. Congratulations! Have you religiously followed the Brewer diet to try to prevent BP issues? If not I would give it a try.
  4. Yeah they really don't know yet. I think the theory is that if bits of the virus are hanging around and causing long haul symptoms then the vaccine could help get rid of the virus. But if long haul symptoms are autoimmune in nature then not as sure if it will help or hurt.
  5. Massive headache for 2 days Fine for two days Diarrhea, slight fever, body aches Slight cough (2 days), loss of taste and smell I don't remember when the massive fatigue kicked in.
  6. Christmas of 2019 we were having a little music performance at the house for family. We wanted a hot chocolate bar. I ordered two boxes of the mini candy canes. My husband did the pick up and accepted the subs. When he got home we have the same amount of regular cherry candy canes. Either 100 or 200 I can't remember. They were 15 cents a box and not worth the hassle of returning. There were SO MANY candy canes 🙄. Even for our big family. My kids ate some but then we packed them away and hung them on the tree the next Christmas and I didn't buy any new ones. That is the most major mix up but we have had some small ones. Even still I love doing pick up and will continue forever (I was doing it for time reasons long before covid).
  7. I get it I'm just explaining what co-op means to me. If that is not how they are running it then great, it works for your needs. I would think it should cost more and the parents teaching should be paid or otherwise compensated if the duties aren't shared evenly.
  8. I co-ran a successful co-op for 10 years. Parents were expected to be present and assissting. That's what made it co operative. Everyone was working together for the good of the students. Two deep in each classroom plus a nursery for teachers little ones as needed. Each year we met to discuss upcoming classes and parents, after having been there for a year at least, were expected to jump in and teach classes. Towards the end we could not get enough families who were willing to do that (they wanted a drop-off for their kids) and we dissolved. So, ask. What you are describing wanting would be something I would consider a cottage school or a tutoring situation not a co-op. But they might be calling it a co-op but not really running it that way. I would not join a co-op assuming that I could nap or get work done while other parents did the work.
  9. Early/late cycles. Long cycles. Skipped cycles. It can be anything really. The posts are frequent on the long haulers board. Women wondering if it is normal/common. Apparently common since it gets asked all the time and lots of women reply that it's happening to them too. I thought I was ok as I don't have cycles anymore due to taking bioidentical progesterone And being peri-menopausal(ugh so hard to spell too) But I had one this week for the first time in years. And I had my blood work done last week and my progesterone levels are half of what they were last time despite continuing to take mine as normal. So something is for sure gong on. Waiting for my doctor to call with results so I can ask him what's he's seen and what the plan is.
  10. Thanks. I did not get regular headaches before having covid. I know so many people who suffer from them but I really only got them if I was severely sleep deprived. Not even with my menstrual cycle. Speaking of which, I am having issues with that too which is a common issue with long haulers. 🙄
  11. I shouldn't have spoken so soon. I have had a headache for 24 hrs. 😔
  12. I had it in November. Caught if from college age son who came for a couple days without realizing he had been exposed (and had it). There were 8 of us living at home when he came and only 2 of us caught it. Myself and my 6 year old. We PCR tested everyone at 5 days post exposure. He caught it at a small family event (less than 10 people). All the adults present caught it and one 15 year old. No idea who had it first as everyone mostly got sick on the same day. He came home in between getting it and getting sick. He shared a room and a bed with two younger brothers who did not get it from him. I shared a bed with my husband between sample taking and results. My husband was re tested and he didn't get it. Looking back I was symptomatic with what i now "fondly" call my covid headache but we didn't realize it at the time so didn't isolate. We isolated after together (myself and the 6 year old) and no one else in the house got it. 6 year old had at most a mild fever one night and a headache. I had the headache, fever(low), cough, loss of taste and smell, horrible fatigue. I have asthma but took my inhaler and did not have any issues. Cough only lasted 2 days. O2 level normal the entire time. I have long covid. Seeing some improvement with massive supplementation and tons of sleep. I'm finally not having headaches anymore (knock on wood!) But the fatigue and brain fog is horrible.
  13. I'm not sure of it is available on the services you listed but Sue Thomas, FBeye is one of our families favorites.
  14. Very seriously. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. World wide church. All services were suspended world wide in March. At some point (summer time?) places began going back depending on local restrictions. Masks required and all services are streamed for those who wish or need to remain home. We will have our third Church wide general conference in two weeks and it will be streamed only with only a few (masked) leaders distanced in a room at a time. All music will be from previously recorded conferences.
  15. I still don't want to be looking a grimy doors or wiping them pretty much daily. We had white storage cabinets in our old house and they always looked dirty unless I constantly wiped them and I just dont have time for that. Well I dont want to spend my time wiping cabinet doors daily or even weekly. 🤷‍♀️
  16. Ok so antibodies only last an average of 3-4 months after infection but maybe T cells activate if re exposed. Is this different for the vaccine? Are the antibodies lasting longer than an infection or are they testing something other than antibodies to measure immune response?
  17. This is *really* good advice. As I said, the dark flooring may be going out of style but it definitely fit the home and I get a million compliments every time someone walks in. I dont know how to describe the home though as a style so I will try to figure out how to upload some photos after we get it clean today 😊. I like the rustic look a lot but I'm not sure it fits very well so may need to avoid that.
  18. I like those! I don't care for it with the floor because it's too close to the same tones but I think with my floors it could look really nice.
  19. Yeah I know gray is trendy. I do like it though so I guess the difference is I just don't care for the painted wood look 🤷‍♀️. I am browsing and seeing more and more that I like so I think I will be able to find a wood cabinet that works. We can't just update what we have because there is a lot that is broken and severely worn finishes etc. They were original to the house in 1990. It's time for new
  20. Yes I was looking at some hickory today. Stopped by home depot for another reason and wasn't impressed by anything I saw there. We are planning to us a custom cabinets place. Thats why we have waited so long to do the kitchen. We want to do it really well and a more expensive way. Thats why I can't screw it up 😬😕
  21. Can we predict what areas and why?
  22. Yes I love that. I am hesitant about white countertops because we have them now and hate them. But they are laminate and I am sure going with a slab of something more natural would probably be fine? Would it stain like crazy?
  23. Don't know yet. But I am planning on a light wood. There is a ton of natural light but I don't want dark cabinets on dark floors.
