  2. Hi, I was wondering if you still have Beast Academt 3rd grade set for sale?

  3. That's good to know. I've never actually looked at the TT material. Thanks for all of the input. I think we'll stick with AOPS.
  4. Do you recommend AOPS or Teaching Textbooks for Algebra I? What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? We are currently using AOPS for Prealgebra and love it. I am strong in math and don't mind teaching it. A friend of mine loves Teaching Textbooks, so I was curious about how it compares with AOPS.
  5. Ah, so that's why I couldn't find any reviews for it. I love CAP products too. I think I'm going to have to order it and try it out.
  6. Has anyone used CAP's Well-Ordered Language for grammar? If so, what did you like about it? What did you not like? How does it compare to FLL or MCT grammar? The CAP website says for grades 3 or 4 and up. My 3rd and 5th graders are finishing up MCT Town level. Would this be a good bridge before they begin MCT Voyage level?
  7. I always have high hopes of planning fun learning opportunities for my kids to experience throughout the summer, and it never seems to happen. Do any of you have a relaxed/fun "summer school" schedule? What do your summers look like?
  8. Can anyone tell me how Art of Argument compares with The Fallacy Detective and The Thinking Toolbox? My 6th grade dd has completed both of the Bluedorn books this year and loved them. I was wondering if we should give Art of Argument a try for next year. What are some other logic options for middle school?
