  1. omg I never thought of putting on pumpernickel bread! We like it thick too and we love garlic. :D Thank you too, Tammy. The ones I kept finding were lacking something we like.
  2. I personally can't afford hundred dollar shirts. I have not shopped for myself in a long time but avenue.com was a place for good deals and stylish clothes.
  3. I only make it once a year and I lost my recipe... anyone have a good one? The recipes seem to be lacking online. One with carrots, celery and onion? Please and thank you! Using the ham bone from the ham too. *goodvibes*
  4. Well it is just my spouse, myself and our daughter. We are having porkchops tonight with mac and cheese, broccoli and beans. For Christmas dinner and Friday, it will be a bone-in ham with cherries and pineapples on it. Mashed potatoes with sweet gravy made from the ham drippings and pineapple, etc. Corn on the cob, stringbean casserole, sweet potatoes praline rolls, deviled eggs, fruit salad apple and pumpkin pie New Years Eve will be pork ribs, scalloped potatoes, turnip greens or collard greens, black eyed peas, cornbread and cheesecake. Looking forward to a new year!
  5. CLINICAL HISTORY: Routine baseline screening. TECHNIQUE: Craniocaudal and mediolateral oblique views of both breasts were performed and are interpreted in conjunction with a computer assisted detection (CAD) system. COMPARISON: The patient reports no prior mammograms for comparison. FINDINGS: CC and MLO views of both breasts demonstrate moderate, scattered fibroglandular tissue bilaterally. There is focal lateral left retroareolar asymmetry. No other definite evidence for malignancy is seen elsewhere in either breast. Impression IMPRESSION: This is my mammogram. Going in again on Friday. LEFT RETROAREOLAR ASYMMETRY ON THIS BASELINE EXAMINATION SHOULD BE FURTHER EVALUATED WITH STRAIGHT LATERAL AND SPOT COMPRESSION VIEWS AS WELL AS POSSIBLE ULTRASOUND AT THIS TIME. BI-RADS Assessment Category 0: Incomplete, needs additional imaging evaluation. Component Results
  6. Anmom, I am sorry to hear this news. :grouphug: I can't believe they are making you wait until the 30th. What a way to spend the holidays. Let us know how things progress so we can be a source of support for you. My spot is on the left side also but they said they would let me know the results soon after they finish on Friday. I will be thankful now.
  7. I think it is 40 however I would think sooner for someone with a family history? There is no family history for me. However there was no family history for my stroke or my mother's heart attack this January.
  8. We finished Elemental Science's Biology and will be going into their Chemistry. We finished Writing Strands 2 and will be going into Writing Stands 3. Still trying to decide whether to do Memoria Press' Latin or Lively Latin. I have also planned to do some subjects year around. Math, literature, latin and science.
  9. Yes, I want to know NOW, damn it. I already have severe anxiety issues and am in therapy for it, lol. I used to be on Buspar, maybe I should go back on it. I did get the okay from my doctor though to go back to the gym since my stroke in May. That really helps me so I am hoping things work out with my husband's second job starting that I can do that. Friday seems so far away.
  10. No, I appreciated your honesty, I treasure that in people. I am fine logically, emotionally I just feel upset. My family has enough on our plate right now and we don't need this on top of everything else. How sad though that my second thought was that it would take care of our high deductible for the new year. I felt the same way when I ended up in the hospital December 1, fifteen days ago. I thought I was having another stroke but it was a micro migraine and a severe magnesium deficiency. I was kept overnight for observation and I have to take magnesium now, they also changed one of my medications. I was thinking that I wished it happened on January 1st. I just want to exhale for the new year.
  11. Oh how worrisome for your pet to not have come back home. We have two cats and two dogs, we love to pieces. Prayers your kitty shows up soon, no worse for wear!
  12. Continued prayers for ongoing good news!
  13. Glad to hear yours turned out well! :) Hopefully I will report back the same on Friday.
  14. I am glad it turned out well for you, sorry you had to go through that! I am ashamed to say this is my first one and I will be 47 next month. I am been hypervigilant about my daughter and her multiple issues and neglected myself. Paying the price lately.
  15. I hope all goes well for you. :grouphug:
  16. Yes. The receptionist told me the radiologist found a spot on my left breast and wanted me to come back in to get a closer look. I go in on Friday at 8:45 am and before I leave they will tell me the results.
  17. I finally received my first mammogram on the 11th. Positive experience for what it was and I was expecting the "everything is okay" letter in 10-14 days. Well today I received a phone call that they found a spot on my left breast. I have to go back in on Friday for them to take a closer look. Trying to be positive however the last sixteen months have been one blow after another. Those of you that have had mammograms, what has your experience been? Trying not to be emotional about it.
  18. I would suggest strength training along with the good advice on this thread. Checking with your doctor first of course. Muscle takes up less room than fat, helps you burn more calories even when you are not exercising and gives you more energy and stamina. It does not need to be anything complicated either. A couple of dumbells and/or resistance bands, etc. If you have a gym membership, the strength machines.
  19. Hugs to you and prayers. What an awful situation! Hope the next neighborhood brings you joy.
  20. Candy, an orange, nail polishes, bath fizzies, little makeup things like lip glosses, mini bottles of spray, lotion, gel, bubble bath. A gift card or two. small toy, stuffed animal, card game, hair accessories.
  21. Which comes first, Prima Latina, then Latin Christina 1, First Form Latin, Second Form Latin, third and forth and Henles? (i had a brain stem stroke in May, I am a little slow, sorry) I was going to start Lively Latin but from the sounds of it, Memoria Press is the way to go?
  22. Thank you, looking forward to it. :hurray:
