This month's goals: gather all money for youngest's driver's ed. She starts mid April, and it's cheaper if you pay upfront rather than per drive. pay off a 0% credit card. Yay! decide and plan for next year's school purchases. look at and adjust if necessary the gas and food budgets, which could possibly derail paying off the 0% card. Unfortunately, our rent is increasing in April, so I've been planning for that, but it's an unknown amount (we'll be charged for water, sewer and trash now). So, hopefully, not a huge increase.

New job is going really well. It's pretty easy. The only hard thing is they only do a lot of the tasks monthly, so not a lot of repetition so I can learn the tasks, but that's a little thing, and I'll eventually learn them. Nice place to work, but honestly? Not enough work to keep me busy really. Just kind of spinning our wheels financially here. We've been slammed with weird illnesses and injuries here, so lots of doctor bills piling up. But we're keeping on top of it. Got the federal refund and it's been allocated to where it needs to go. Got Oldest a free minifridge for her dorm room from one of my bosses. So that was cool.

She was a practicing Catholic, but she couldn't be buried in the cemetery. As I said, I don't know how it ended up.

I've only heard bits and pieces over the years. In the case I know of, husband was abusive and abandoned her with 5 (6?) little kids. She finally was able to obtain a divorce (he left her with $0 and no job so it took a while to afford that), but she couldn't ever scrape up the money to pay for an annulment. When she passed, the children wanted to bury her with family in Catholic cemetery, but the church said no because she hadn't ever gotten the annulment. I don't recall where she ended up buried.

How his mother's divorce/annulment was handled within the church is one of the main reasons my uncle is no longer Catholic. It was a while ago though, and it sounds like the process may have changed somewhat.

That was my dd's comment that caused me to use a word for #3 that used several of the options.
