  1. Hi Marie,

Haven't seen any posts from you lately. I pray all is well with you and your family.

  2. Julie. I'm so sorry. I'm praying Father will hold you all in His hand.

  3. I ADORE tea (the drinking kind, lol!) What a lovely gift! I'm enjoying looking at the photo!

  5. I called the SPCA and found a low-cost clinic ($8 for rabies vax -- required -- and $12.50 for heartworm test). What a relief! I know we need to prevent fleas since our infestation last year was awful. And heartworms are a concern in our area. I'll check to see what the cost is at this clinic or see if I can get a scrip from them. I appreciate your input!
  6. I am not wanting to start a fight. I love my dogs. I want to take care of them. But our budget is tight and we are trying desperately to get out of debt. We are trying to stretch every food dollar and buy everything used/clearance . . . I went yesterday to purchase the dogs' flea/heartworm prevention medicine. I figure the cost will be nearly $200. But we got our tax refund, so we're good. Unfortunately, I'd forgotten they were due their check-ups last month. I can't get the medicine until they've had their heartworm check. I understand this. I want to do what's right. So I make the ap
  7. she has a job interview this week. The pink has faded significantly, but is still visible. Should we try a hair color removal product? Or re-dye with her normal color? (The job application says "conservative hairstyles" are required and she really wants the job!)
  8. but it doesn't *feel* like it's in the ear. It feels like it's behind my nose. The popping reminds me of the sound of something suddenly draining (even though I have no noticeable mucous) and each "pop" is associate with a brief, sudden and sharp pain. The headache is dull, all across the forehead, and lasts for days . . . The sharp sudden pangs are what I'd really like to relieve/prevent! Thanks!
  9. Spring brings the sinus headache. I'm used to the pressure, but what is up with the sensation that something is "popping" in my head? My nose is not running. I can breathe. I just can't *think*. What kind of medication do I take for this?
  10. TaxAct sounds like something I should give a try! Let's see if I can get these pieces of paper in order . . . :tongue_smilie:
  11. I received links to download the software. Is that the same as purchasing Tax Cut at the store? Naturally, I want to save as much money as possible . . . (We don't qualify for the Free File links thru IRS.gov this year because I worked full-time.)
  12. Would that make any difference? (I sure wish we could rent it -- it may come to that if we can't move it.)
  13. I really shouldn't buy anything with ingredient names I can't pronounce, should I? I'm moving s-l-o-w-l-y in a healthy direction . . . ;)
  14. How necessary is refrigeration for honey mustard sauce? How about Coffee Mate creamer? I left that out all morning on the cabinet. I don't know where my head is. :willy_nilly:
  15. We have a couple of small bank accounts. One was opened just to make internet purchases (it offered a free debit card) and the other to keep my student loan balances until the next term's tuition was due. I'm ready to close both, but we'll be applying for a new mortgage this year. Would closing small bank accounts affect our credit rating? Also . . . we'll be getting a tax refund soon. We have considerable credit card debt, but we also need to make some repairs to the house in order to put it on the market. Pay down debt? Use refund for repairs? Or keep a sum in savings? What looks b
  16. The dr prescribed Miralax, but this child doesn't drink much liquid at one time and Miralax should be stirred into 8 oz. Dc just takes sips here and there throughout the day. I take Fiber Choice (containing inulin) myself and wonder if that would be an easier way to get this child regulated . . .
  17. They have 2 parents who have the desire to spend loving time alone. The children are in different stages of development and are taught about differences, puberty, privacy, touch, etc. They have access to my pregnancy books (including drawings and photographs). Their questions are answered honestly according to their maturity. Yes, I believe boys and girls need to know about each other. Even if they didn't have opposite gender siblings, I would want to educate them about what maturing into adulthood means, both physically and socially. I want them to know how they are being prepared for ad
