  1. You are probably right Lanny. I hope it can somehow be removed.
  2. Yes, it feels pretty creepy! Especially since all of the info is right there on the search engine page. You don't have to click on the BIP link to find it.
  3. I googled my name a couple of weeks ago in quotation marks for a homework assignment for an online class I am taking. I was shocked when three "hits" (sorry, don't know the technical term) came up from Bright Ideas Press for some orders that I had placed. These hits showed all of my personal information including name, full address and phone number. It also appears that all or part of my PayPal account information is showing. I contacted BIP immediately and let them know. They sent me an email back stating that they took their security seriously and would look into it. Two weeks later and all of my personal info is still there. I realize my personal info is out there for the world to find and not really "personal" anymore but my PayPal info should not be. I will contact PayPal later today. You may want to try googling your name if you have bought from BIP. Be sure and use quotation marks and Bright Ideas Press after your name. Curious if I am the only one with this issue.
  4. I signed up for the free month, canceled the day before they were going to charge me for the $19.99 monthly charge, and then signed up for the annual membership which was cheaper.
  5. Yes this is also what I think happened. They headed to their bedroom during the game for some alone time since all the kids were gone. They showed this two episodes ago.
  6. Sorry I don't. I've only purchased phones directly from them.
  7. We've had RW for over three years. I have still have my original phone and $10 monthly plan. Both of my kids have updated their phones and plans in the last year. My son is the only one with a monthly data plan. Currently, he has 1gb a month for $20. They send me emails when he has something like 25% left for the month and then a few more times as he gets closer to having 0 data. I do believe they also send me an email when he is completely out of data for the month. When he is out of data-he is out. It resets automatically on the first day of our billing cycle. My daughter has the $15 a month plan without data. Recently we traveled out of state. I was able to make a one time purchase of 2 gb's of data for her to use. I had the option of choosing how much data we wanted. Each gb was $5.00. She has not run out so I can not say how they will handle it at their end. I am guessing I will receive emails when she gets close to end of the 2gbs. We did have some issues with my son's new phone when they switched their phones and towers to T-Mobile which has very poor to no service where I live. They have since added back Sprint (I believe) and replaced his phone for us free of charge. His phone has been working fine since the switch back. Daughter's new phone has no issues. Make sure when you order that you use his college address. The phones they sell now are specific to either T-Moblie or Sprint. Certain phones are only available in the areas where they will work correctly. We have less options because of the lack of T-Mobile Towers. We continue to be very happy with RW after all these years. ETA: My dd's data does not have a time limit. She has it until it is gone.
  8.   That is awesome!!
  9. Yesterday I could borrow 8 titles a month. Today I can only borrow 4. So bummed. Had I known it was going to change today, I would have borrowed everything I need for this month yesterday. Anyone else notice changes today?
  10. This looks like it might be perfect for her. Thanks!
  11. Looking for something for my high schooler to read through in addition to what we are already doing on World History from WWI forward. She likes the format and style of writing of Zinn & Hakim. Has anyone found anything in this type of format for World History?
  12. Overall I found the Grammy's very boring this year. With that said... Loved Kesha's raw performance. Pink...amazing as usual. I had no idea Ben Platt was such an incredible singer.
  13. Any recommendations for something she can use in conjunction with Duolingo that she can do on her own? We are not trying to meet a 2 year language requirement for graduation or college admission. She can take Spanish at the local CC if it becomes necessary at a later time. She just wants to do it for fun at this point.
  14. Has anyone successfully used this program with a high schooler? Dd is wanting to learn Spanish and I know I am not qualified to teach it and have no personal interest in learning it myself right now. Any info you can share would be appreciated. Thanks
  15. So sorry for your lose. We've tried school in the summer the last two years and it didn't go well for us either. I think I need the break more than she does.
  16. Blizzard warning lasted until 10 pm last night. Roads aren't clear and there are spots of black ice. Decided to keep older son home or at least send him late today. I've witnessed how these high school kids drive in snow and know there is a lot of accidents trying to get to school. DD and I will have to get done what we can today. It may actually give me a chance to regroup and figure out where we left off if we ease in slowly today.
  17. We have done a total of four days of school this month. Between dr appts & snow days-it just ain't happening. January is always the worst month for us. Today we are having a blizzard and it is the second snow day for public school so my oldest is home which means no school for us (Sorry-just does not happen when he is here). It is the second snow day this year. Last week dd and I were suppose to fly out of state to a dr appt. We decided to drive rather than sit at O'Hare and two other airports with the flu outbreak. So we didn't get any school completed. The week before we managed four days but on Friday had a day long dr appt. Crossing my fingers we do not finish the month with a house full of sick people which would mean no school. :crying: How is your January going???
  18. Have you looked into the ingredients in her shampoos, lotions, soaps etc...
  19. It seems like a lot of people have had experiences with narcissist mothers and/or Grandmothers. It has been the men in my life who have been the narcissists. I can also see now that it has gone on through the generations. ETA: Has anyone ever noticed that it seems like a lot of people who tend to volunteer have narcissistic tendencies? Maybe I've just become oversensitive or it is just this one particular organization I've helped with. IDK
  20. What! How? We have terrible luck with Apple ear buds (love them though). The right side always goes out. We replace them at least once a year and none of them have been through the wash. We must be doing something wrong. Dd did wash her wireless beats a couple of weeks ago. They didn't survive.
  21. Dick Clark's music and dance show on Saturday mornings-I can't remember the name!! Gilligan's Island Scooby Doo
  22. Yes! I also learned there was so much more to narcissism then a person who spends to much time in the mirror. lol
  23. Yes. This group is also where my own eyes were opened. It has been life changing for sure. Thank you for linking the old posts. I had been trying to remember the name of the book that always comes so highly recommended-Boundaries.
