I don't like them. It is the colors. There is that blue/black/green ink color that I just hate. But, while I don't want one, I don't really care what other people want to do. I don't think my kids will want them but I figure, their bodies, their choice.

I just five starred my own cussing thread. Take that you one starrer! I couldn't five star myself in my profile though but from now on all my threads will have five stars. I wonder if I can do it twice?

It wasn't about the tattoo. It was about him doing something she strongly disapproves of even though, you know, she strongly disapproves of it. That is completely different than if he lost his arm. If he lost his arm she could take care of him and help him....

Five stars from me. I have suspicions about my one starrers, just suspicions so far.

So I am just realizing that there have been people who must have gone to my personal profile and one starred me. Who does that? At least you have to own your likes, but to anonymously one star someone... My kids have fevers so I have been starving them today. Feed a cold, starve a fever right?

Crap! Me too. I just checked. This is the first I have heard of these profile stars. Three is just so C student. And my cussing thread was the first time I noticed that there were stars there too. It feels like way too much pressure.

I understand.

But cussing is so much more than just showing displeasure. I mean, I can show displeasure very effectively with no words at all lol. But think about the difference between "fine" and "damn fine." Sometimes "very" just doesn't cut it.

This problem is beginning to seriously affect my self esteem.

I traded "crap" for all my favorite swear words when I had kids, trying to set a good example. Ok, I was just trying to set a slightly better example and I do not always succeed. DD16 was about three and I heard her drop something in the next room and say "sh*t". That was why I tried to stop. Funny thing, my kids don't cuss (except for that one slip when dd was three lol) and obviously it isn't because they haven't heard the words. I think it is part of them differentiating themselves from me. If mom does it then it can't be that cool or whatever. DD8 gets on my case when I do it, complete with eye rolls.

I got your like in my notifications :001_smile: . Hopefully he will throw up. But it took about three hours before ours did. It was the first night dd decided that she would like to have him sleep with her, yes, and the last night she wanted to try having him sleep with her.

We had that happen and our dog threw them up. But before he did I called the vet and our little dog, less than twelve pounds at the time probably got half a dozen of them and the vet thought he would be fine. It depends on the weight and how many he got. So based on that I am betting yours will be fine. But you can always call and ask.

In my belief system (fence sitting) it is mostly about bad luck.

I try not to, but once in a while tired, a bad day, squashed bread, last straw... it can happen. She probably would have been OK if she smacked her kid though.
