he has been wanting one this summer as well. My husband said he would do it and he could keep it for a week. Well, I thought that maybe he would leave the sides a bit longer so when he got it cut it would be normal hair. I knew something was up when I heard laughing outside. He said he couldn't get the guard thingy to work so he just decided not to use it. oh man, it is down to the skin on the sides. :001_huh: I actually like it, I think. Cheri

I wonder if one is more review of previous years and one is more new material. I do want to make sure he has a a strong foundation. We did the 7th grade placemant and he got 1 wrong and a careless mistake that he would normally be able to do. I will have him take the pre-algebra tomorrow. Cheri

If we did math 7 this year would we skip pre-algebra ? I am not sure if I should put ds in 7th grade or pre algebra this year, any insight? I did look at Cathy Duffy's reviews but would like some more input. thanks, Cheri

is a Bichon. We are looking at one. Do some research on breeds. On Border Collies (5)... my dad thinks they are the greatest dog in the world. Very intelligent. But if they are bored they can be trouble/unhappy. Make sure you read about what ever dog you are getting. When we go visit them on the farm, they want to herd and keep everyone in sight. So far there is Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Volume 1 covers atmoshere, continents, oceans, seasons, climates, latitude/longitude, vocanoes, earthquakes, plate tectonics. All the ch. have hands on stuff, and it is written in an engaging style. Vol. 2 focuses on the Holy Lands. it covers Turkey, Israel, Egypy, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. It will talk about the geography, people, art, culture of those areas. Cheri

I like Dandy Lion Press.. I think it goes up to 7th grade. Is the "Art of Arguement" a possibility? :001_unsure: (I am going to look at it myself.) Cheri

I sort of feel theat way as well.. Sometimes there are so many choices that I feel overwhelmed and can't choose. We know we needed to focus on old Testament stuff this year so we are using My fathers World Creation to Greeks. (4th -8th grade) My younger kids will also tag along in this. Specifically for 4th - Chinese tutor for Mandarin Chinese TT math 5 Intermediate LAnguage Lessons Spellwise IEW -writing MFW-history, science, bible, vocab. art, music appreciation. for my almost 13 year old we will also be using MFW but I considered using trisms.
