  1. I just ordered another Susan Branch book on Amazon. I had birthday $$. It's the first one in the trilogy. My BFF IRL got me the second one. I'm in the middle. I love it. It is seriously my happy place. I really need to get up and do something.
  2. I will be making Cajun chicken ragout for dinner. It's the recipe of the day on Allrecipes.com. I needed an inspiration. I feel like I make the same things all the time. This looks pretty good. I bought andouille sausage for the first time in my life. Now, I gotta make banana bread.
  3. I braved the AFSA. And even managed to get everything into the two mini-fridges. And I didn't buy GS cookies. I felt kind of bad, but... I really try to save my fundraising purchases for kids I know. And yesterday our two sweet little neighbor girls came by hawking chocolate covered almonds so they could go to some youth something or other. So I bought some of those.
  4. Oh dear! Stay safe!!! Hmm, I wonder what our treacherous seas weather-lady would say during a tornado! 😜
  5. Writing. Though I don't know how I would do it. We started out the year with a great, easy, simple writing curriculum and I still can't make it work. It's the feed-back part I just can't manage.
  6. Now he's trying to find a capacitor, because according to Appliance Pro.com, in 61% of the cases like this, it's the capacitor. Stay tuned for more episodes of "How the Kitchen Appliance Turns".
  7. I had no idea you could buy refridgerators on Prime. But, they don't seem to have 2-day delivery. We are going to borrow my mom's small refridgerator, so between that one and our little one, and the deep-freeze, we should be able to limp along until we can get something. Some of the places had stainless steel in stock, but all of my appliances are white and so is my tile, etc. so I don't want to go stainless steel.
  8. Good Morning! COFFEE!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ Now the stupid FAFSA fridge is dead. Not just the freezer. And nobody in our general driving area stocks refrigerators. Everything is "available for delivery March 3-7". And that's including Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. fortunately we have the freezer in the garage and this summer we bought a little fridge for the garage to hold the over flow fruit. So, DH just cleaned out the fridge and put the meat and dairy in there. I had been thinking about going to Costco yesterday. I'm glad I didn't.
  9. I noticed that, but the pictures didn't show what that was.
  10. Grrr! Refrigerator shopping! Grr! At least we can do it in the comfort of our own home and not walking up and down the cold aisles of Lowe's. I hate shopping. Slashie, you like shopping. Come and decide for me!
  11. That story, while unlikely to happen at my house, is hilarious!
  12. It's getting replaced. DH has been all over the Lowe's website.
  13. I know. If it were me, I'd drive to Lowes tonight and just find one that fits in the space. Fortunately, I married an engineer who loves to research, so that's what he will spend his day tomorrow doing.
  14. My freezer is busted!!(insert cuss words here!) It's the one above the fridge, and I do have another in the garage, so I transferred stuff there, but £*€%&$@. I am not happy! Our fridge is old. Probably 16 or so years.
  15. I had crust-less pizza for lunch. I make it by spreading pizza sauce over 4 pieces of string cheese, top with pepperoni and put under the broiler. It's all right. I prefer crusted pizza.
  16. Hmm, wow! 10%. Percentages are tricky sometimes, but not 10%. It's not like 27%, which may require a calculator.
  17. "If I can't see you, then you must not be there!" I think it's an easy trap to fall into, especially for kids who are inexperienced.
  18. I know, I was thinking about her the other day. I hope all is well.
  19. Well, I wouldn't say the word order never matters. It does. Just not as much as in English. Sunt is a "be" verb that is plural. That is why the predicate nominative is plural. Sometimes you can have the same endings for different cases. First declension has -ae for genitive singular and nominitive plural. Then, you use context.
