  1. We make a kind of thin paste. And smear it all over. We let it sit 5-10 minutes (dh says if it dries it makes a huge mess to get off) and then rinse it off. He does rub it in with a scrub brush, but it doesn't take any elbow grease, really. It's pretty easy.
  2. Last night at the basketball game, it was really sweet. DS's team has 7 kids - 2 8th graders, 3 7th graders and 2 6th graders. (The league has 2 levels of play - grades 3-5 and grades 6-8). The 5 oldest boys are very good players and have really gelled well, but the coach is a very good coach and does a wonderful job subbing everyone so the 6th graders, who are not only the youngest on the team, but are also not very athletically inclined, get a lot of playing time, too. So, last night, the last game, the team decided that little T, who is a short, kind of uncoordinated 6th grader needed to get a basket. So the whole team was feeding him the ball all evening. He was even told to stay under our basket when the team was at the other end on defense (we were playing 4 on 5 then, and still wouldn't let the other team shoot) and we'd get the ball back and he was in position to take a shot when they got the ball to him. He shot and shot and shot and finally made a basket. The entire crowd erupted in applause.
  3. I want hardwood all the way through, but alas ...$$$$. We have carpet that seriously needs to be replaced in most of the house, tile in kitchen and dining area and last summer we put laminate in the master bedroom. The bathrooms have tile floors.
  4. Oxyclean does a pretty good job on our grout. We have tile floors in our kitchen and eating areas and they are pretty gray, but when DH gets sick of it (I don't even pay attention to it) he'll Oxyclean it. I Oxycleaned our bathroom tiled countertop last weekend and it does look a lot better.
  5. Good Morning!! COFFEE!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸
  6. I really wish I could go to this concert. And I really would like to see you play, Susan!
  7. DS had his last basketball game tonight. It was a blow-out. DS scored 20 points.
  8. Ok, everyone remember the poppy field scene in the Wizard of Oz? That's me today. I think the orchards in full bloom. The field of fiddle-neck in full bloom have induced narcolepsy in me. Hopefully a cup or two of COFFEE☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸ Will get me through the rest of the day.
  9. My mom lost her chickens. She was so sad on Tuesday night at the basketball game. There were no feathers and no evidence of a predator, so she assumed someone stole them. Then, yesterday afternoon she calls me up....they found the chickens. They had been hiding in the garage. Whew!
  10. This sounds amazing! I have never heard of anything like that before!
  11. Wow, that sounds like a great job! Just kidding! DH has trouble with the work ethic at his job, too.
  12. Yeah, find a way to shorten it. You want to say what you want to say. Don't compromise just to get a little more time.
  13. And I say, "it's about time!" I looked it up to see if anything else of interest happened in 1700, and sadly.... nothing really happened. The "famous people" who were born..... I'd never heard of them. And the famous person who died..... never heard of her, either.
  14. Good Morning!!! COFFEE!!!☕ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸â˜•ï¸
  15. Just thought you all might like to know that my banana bread has reached the status of currency at DS's school! How 'bout that?
  16. Today my chocolate chips are surrounded by cookie dough!
  17. Bradford pears are horrible. They smell horrible, too!
  18. The sun is shining here and the fruit orchards are in full bloom. It is beautiful.
